A Couple Of Thoughts On The Primaries

Aside from the fact that Shrillary Clinton " found her voice (whichever one she chooses), the most interesting commentary I heard today was from Karl Rove who was on Dr. Bennett's show this morning.  Even though Dr. Bill cut him off before the entire point was made, I got the gist of it.  He was breaking down the demographics of who voted for whom.  Bottom line; the wine sipping, upper income, more positive donks voted for Obama.  The beer swilling, blue collar types voted for Shrillary.  Ergo; don't count her out.  Who goes to the polls?

The other thought came because hubby and I came down to Rockport/Aransas Pass to our "beach home" and I heard a local radio commercial for Ron Paul Dr. Paul's commercial is narrated by a voice that sounds eerily like Ronald Reagan...which I resent viscerally.  He makes some points that most any conservative can get behind.  Until you look at his voting record and past performance:

"Dr. Paul"...If you believe in small government, and NO IRS, then Ron Paul is your man...Oh, AND...if you believe that, MLK was a gay pedophile, David Duke deserved praise, and you think that the 1993 WTC bombing was an Israeli Mossad operation...then Ron Paul is REALLY your guy...

(Full Story)

The above thoughts and feelings from "Dr. Paul" are apparently, in most cases, years old.  Still, none of it, based on what I've seen and heard from him, surprises me.

The man is, I believe, unstable and dangerous.  He has a devoted following of extremists, many of whom, probably go way beyond what even HE believes.  Not ALL Ron Paul supporters are extremists, of course...it's mostly his new, out-of-state devotees...but enough are, that they could prove troublesome.  He also has a huge war-chest of cash now to use for his reelection campaign in the 14th District.  The man needs to be stopped (politically).  Awareness MUST be raised throughout his District.

What I pray, wish, and hope for America is that we all look at ALL the evidence, ALL the records of achievements/or failures, and ALL of the options of any candidate we consider as a recipient of our most precious right; our vote.  Don't just settle on one candidate until you have thoroughly investigated them.  Don't vote on your "heart"/"emotion", instead become informedAn informed electorate will save our country.
